The Missaukee Humane Society was established in 1989. MHS is a 501(c)3 organization operated solely on donations, grants, and fundraisers.
We are an independent no-kill animal shelter that also takes in the strays of Missaukee County with no reimbursement from the County. We house an average of 40 canines and 60 felines
We do not receive any financial support from any National group.
